Bad experiences have led songwriter Courtney Patterson (Natalie Wood) -- crippled by polio -- to become cautious and skeptical of the kindness of strangers. When attorney Marcus Simon (Robert Wagner) falls head over heels in love with her, however, he's determined to break down the emotional walls she's constructed so that they can both have a chance at love. Gilbert Cates directed this made-for-TV movie.
