After receiving the wrong jazz records, woodwork teacher Trevor (James Bolam) enlists girlfriend Jill's (Barbara Flynn) help in finding the right ones. Their search leads them to uncover rampant crime and corruption in their hometown of Yorkshire, England. Set to a jazz soundtrack in the style of Bix Beiderbecke, this British mystery series features a cast of colorful characters who provide plenty of laughs.
