The Broken Melody

In this musical drama, John Garrick stars as Paul Verlaine, a struggling composer who catches the eye of famous actress Simone St. Clair (Margot Grahame). With her backing, his career takes off, and he leaves behind his childhood friend Germaine (Merle Oberon), who loves him dearly though he doesn't yet know it. But after some success, Paul wonders if he's really found what he's looking for, and he seeks out his past, which includes Germaine.
