Based on a play by Terence Rattigan, this drama follows Andrew Crocker-Harris (Albert Finney), a once-brilliant, now cold and distant classical literature teacher with a philandering wife (Greta Scacchi) and a mundane career at an English prep school. When a dedicated student (Ben Silverstone) gifts him with a copy of Robert Browning's translation of Aeschylus's Agamemnon, Andrew finds inspiration once again.
