The Capture

While working the oil fields of Mexico, Lin Vanner (Lew Ayres) kills a suspected robber, which sets off a downward spiral of events -- especially after he realizes the man may have been innocent. Overcome by tremendous guilt, Lin loses his fiancée (Jacqueline White) and goes in search of the dead man's widow (Teresa Wright). When sparks fly between the two and Lin is accused of murdering a different man, he has no choice but to go on the run.
