The heirs of eccentric millionaire Cyrus West gather at his mansion 20 years after his passing to hear his will read. To everyone's shock, Cyrus bequeaths his estate to his most distant relative (Carol Lynley) -- provided she can remain sane after spending the night in the forbidding manor. This venerable haunted-house spoof boasts all the familiar elements: a sinister housekeeper, secret corridors and, of course, an escaped lunatic at large.
