Ellen Burstyn, Diane Ladd and Olympia Dukakis head the cast as a trio of recently widowed Jewish women whose friendship helps ease the passing of their spouses -- until one of them meets an empathetic widower and embarks on a tentative romance. Set in Pittsburgh, this old-fashioned comedy also stars Lainie Kazan, Christina Ricci and Danny Aiello as Ben Katz, the man who drives a wedge between the ladies.
