The Champagne Safari

  (1995)
American industrialist Charles Bedaux may have had more money than common sense, but his spirit of adventure is undeniable. In 1934, he bankrolled a 1,200-mile expedition across northern Canada, supported by an outrageously equipped entourage. The trip was a failure, but film footage from the journey provides the foundation for this fascinating documentary about a wealthy adventurer whose Nazi ties eventually led to charges of treason.
