Masquerading as an English gentleman, the suave yet sinister Ralph Gorse (Nigel Havers) charms a series of wealthy women with the intent of emptying their bank accounts. But when his plans threaten to go awry, Gorse resorts to evil schemes to prevent being exposed. Blackmail, insurance fraud, identity theft and even murder are all fair game for this con man as he looks for his next mark.
