The Confessions of Felix Krull

  (1957)
Bekenntnisse des Hochstaplers Felix Krull
Adapted from Thomas Mann's last novel, this story follows the exploits of charming elevator operator Felix Krull (Horst Buchholz), whose good looks and humble demeanor endear him to every woman (and man) who crosses his path. Felix may be shy, but he clearly understands the power of his charms and uses them to his advantage. Director Kurt Hoffmann's lively comedy about the power of sex won Best Foreign-Language Film at the 1958 Golden Globes.
