Set in a Welsh mining town, this made-for-TV remake of the 1945 Bette Davis vehicle stars Katharine Hepburn as spinster schoolteacher Lilly Moffat, who devotes herself to helping gifted student Morgan Evans (Ian Saynor) earn a scholarship to Oxford University. But when he fathers a love child, Lilly's well-laid plans and Morgan's prospects may go down the drain. Hepburn received an Emmy nomination for her remarkable performance.
