Set during the ever-sunny 1950s, the Larkin family leads an idyllic (if flamboyant) life in the English countryside, colored by the flirtatious ways of daughter Mariette (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Pop Larkin's (David Jason) never-ending supply of ill-fated entrepreneurial adventures. Each family member remains fiercely devoted to one another through good times and bad in this enormously popular British dramedy series.
