In The Deadly Trackers, an enraged sheriff (Richard Harris) tries to find and kill the bank robbers who brutally murdered his wife and son. Harris returns in Man in the Wilderness as a trapper who seeks revenge against a group of men who left him for dead. Filmmaker Samuel Fuller was originally set to direct The Deadly Trackers but was fired because of major disagreements with lead actor Harris; the job eventually went to Barry Shear.
