When he journeys to England on the eve of World War II to promote his newfangled gadget, Russian inventor Ivan Kouznetsoff (Laurence Olivier) gets the cold shoulder from British patriots wary of his thick accent and Communist background. But when the Soviet Union and the U.K. become allies, the English begin to let Ivan see the fortitude and crafty humor beneath their stony façade. Penelope Dudley-Ward co-stars in this classic comedy.
