This stark drama follows a group of outsiders who live and work in miserable conditions, driving decrepit trucks on hazardous wintry roads for a timber company. When a new boss arrives, bringing his beautiful wife with him, the fragile balance of this desperate community becomes broken, resulting in tragedy. Tadeusz Lomnicki, Emil Karewicz and Leon Niemczyck co-star in this adaptation of a short story by Polish writer Marek Hlasko.
