Director Rodrigo Plá's potent drama follows guilt-racked father Elías (Mario Zaragoza), who verges on homicidal madness as he tries to atone for endangering his family to get his infant son baptized -- in the midst of the Mexican revolution. While fleeing into the desert with his family after soldiers attack their village, Elías has a vision prompting him to build a church to save his children from damnation ... but his efforts may prove futile.
