The Divorcée

Based on a novel by Ursula Parrott, this steamy melodrama stars Norma Shearer in an Oscar-winning performance as Jerry Martin, a carefree socialite who grows weary of her philandering husband, Ted (Chester Morris) -- and retaliates with an affair of her own. The hypocritical Ted files for divorce, and Jerry, now freed from her marital chains, attracts a host of men. But she considers reconciliation when she finds her new life incomplete.
