Doris Day returns as San Francisco magazine writer Doris Martin in the final season of her long-running sitcom. Reflecting premise changes made the year before, Doris is a single career woman working for a new boss, Sy Bennett (John Dehner), at Today's World. Peter Lawford returns as Doris's boyfriend, Dr. Peter Lawrence. Andy Griffith, Ed Begley Jr. and Lee Merriwether are among this season's co-stars.
