After Ellen DeGeneres's first sitcom -- which broke stereotypes and turned her into a gender politics heavyweight -- ended amid tons of hype and controversy, the comic hid out. That exile ended with her return to television with this comedy. The ever-goofy DeGeneres plays an Internet exec who's forced to move in with her mother (Cloris Leachman) after her business flames out, leaving her to deal with her past with hilarious aplomb.
