Following six convicts at the Louisiana State Penitentiary -- aka Angola -- over the course of a year, this engrossing documentary offers heartrending interviews and a rare glimpse at life on "the Farm," mainly from the inmates' perspective. Angola is the largest maximum security prison in the U.S. The movie won a Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival as well as Emmy Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography and Film Editing.
