The Fortunate Pilgrim

Italian immigrant Lucia (Sophia Loren) struggles to make a better life for herself and her children in this miniseries set in Depression-era New York City and based on author Mario Puzo's novel. When Lucia is left widowed, she manages to hold her family together, but the iron-willed matriarch must find the strength to endure a string of emotional crises and rocky relationships. Edward James Olmos, John Turturro and Hal Holbrook also star.
