The Front

  (1976)
Alfred Miller (Michael Murphy) is a successful television writer whose political views have left him blacklisted from every major network in the McCarthy-era 1950s. Desperate to keep writing, Alfred persuades his buddy Howard Prince (Woody Allen) to act as a "front" by taking scripts written by his writer friend and selling them as his own. Soon, Howard is the most sought-after writer in Hollywood and is consequently reaping all the benefits.
