Aspiring opera singer Toni Le Brun (Corinne Griffith) learns that the wardrobe mistress at the cabaret where she works is actually a baroness and her benefactor. Suave bachelor Richard Dupont (Charles Ray) woos Toni, but she's unsure if he loves her or her newfound wealth. When his uncle appears on the scene, Richard's motives become clear. Shockingly frank for its time, Lewis Milestone's silent classic co-stars Louise Dresser and Maude George.
