Louise Hogarth's candid documentary The Gift introduces the subculture of "bug chasers" and "gift givers," gay men who actively seek to contract or transmit the AIDS virus to fulfill a need for belonging in a community. But their choice often carries with it staggering moral and physical repercussions. And Does Anyone Die of AIDS Anymore? reveals that, despite the advances in treatment, thousands are still dying of AIDS in the United States.
