The Girls

Actresses Liz (Bibi Andersson), Marianne (Harriet Andersson) and Gunilla (Gunnel Lindblom) discover uncanny parallels between their lives and characters they portray on stage in Aristophanes' timeless comedy "Lysistrata." As members of a touring production, each must face her challenges -- including unfaithful spouses and commitment-shy lovers -- and admit that whether the setting is ancient Greece or modern-day Sweden, some things never change.
