The Golden Honeymoon

Noel Black helmed this gentle romantic tale based on a short story by Ring Lardner. To celebrate their golden wedding anniversary, Charley Tate (James Whitmore) whisks his wife, Lucy (Teresa Wright), off to Florida for a second honeymoon. But the arrival of Lucy's former fiancé (Frank Hartsell) short-circuits the couple's bliss when Charley -- trying to convince Lucy she chose the right man -- becomes an intolerable boor.
