The Gospel of John

This word-for-word adaptation of the 21 chapters of the Gospel According to John tells story of Jesus' life -- mostly focusing on his final hours, his crucifixion and the events that followed -- from disciple John's point of view. The epic film draws its audience into antiquity through meticulous re-creation, including an original musical score complete with instrumental sounds of the time. Christopher Plummer narrates much of the film.
