As renowned geneticist Dr. Tom Henderson (Jason Miller) starts having some success with his gene-splicing experiments, his assistant, Dr. Louise Casimir (Christine Lahti), and her husband, Pete Casimir (Stephen Collins), begin to have doubts about his work. Bringing his research to light in their small university town sparks a debate on the ethics of creating new life in this thoughtful made-for-television drama.
