The House on 92nd Street

  (1945)
The FBI's counterespionage activities during World War II -- particularly, the secrecy surrounding the atom bomb and German intelligence efforts to unmask the science of nuclear fission -- are the focus of this docudrama based on true events. A U.S. citizen (William Eythe) is approached by the Germans in hopes that he'll join their spy ranks, but he informs the feds and becomes an effective double agent, keeping the A-bomb a secret.
