The Hundred Steps

  (2000)
I Cento Passi
One hundred steps are all that separate the boyhood home of Peppino Impastato (Luigi Lo Cascio) and that of an important Mafia boss. Thus, when Peppino begins using his radio show to denounce Mafia activities at a time when most people dare not even acknowledge its existence, it doesn't sit well with family members, who still have close ties to the organization. Based on a true story, the film received a Golden Globe nod for Best Foreign-Language Film.
