After garnering great success in vaudeville, radio and the movies, celebrated comedian Jack Benny brought his talents to television with this hit program, which follows his hilarious exploits as a violin-playing penny-pincher who refuses to grow old. In each episode, a cast of regular characters -- including a wisecracking valet (Rochester Van Jones) and a naïve singer (Dennis Day) -- exposes Benny's many shortcomings and endearing qualities.
