Just before America's entry into World War II, aspiring novelist Jose (Arturo Beristain) works to spread communist propaganda throughout Mexico. Meanwhile, he is caught between the affections of prostitute Raquel (Maria Rojo) and his love for old-flame Aurora (Dobrina Liubomirova). But acts of personal and political betrayal soon yield life-changing consequences for all involved in this historical drama, nominated for six Mexican Ariel Awards.
