Director Lewis Teague's fast-paced gangster flick stars Pamela Sue Martin as the titular Lady in Red, Polly Franklin, whose crimson dress serves as an identifying beacon for the FBI's killing of John Dillinger (Robert Conrad): Public Enemy No. 1. Before and after her time of notoriety as Dillinger's unsuspecting gal pal, Polly spends much of her life on the run -- from an abusive father and from the law.
