The Last Frontier

After their valuable pelts are stolen by Indians, trappers Jed Cooper (Victor Mature), Gus Hideout (James Whitmore) and Mungo (Pat Hogan) join the Cavalry. Jed's mind turns to other matters when he falls in love with the delicate Corinna (Anne Bancroft), Col. Frank Marston's (Robert Preston) wife. When Marston comes up with an ill-conceived attack on a warring tribe, Jed springs into action to prevent unnecessary bloodshed.
