The Last Tattoo

Set in 1940s New Zealand, The Last Tattoo finds that nation deluged by American servicemen on leave from combat. Kelly Towne (Fox), a local nurse, is in charge of trying to stop the spread of venereal disease, which the US troops have brought. When she discovers an untreatable strain of the clap, nurse Towne accidentally stumbles upon what seems to be a cover-up for the murder of a US troop. An effective and exciting neo-noir thriller.
