This moving drama catches Ed Reece (Kirk Douglas), a salesman who's spent his life on the road, at the twilight of his life. Ed's past choices have left his family by the wayside, so now he attempts to make amends by inviting his estranged son, Larry (Craig T. Nelson), to accompany him on a trip back to his childhood home. But old hurts resurface, and resentments threaten to overwhelm the journey. Is complete forgiveness truly possible for them?
