Legendary director John Huston adapts Rudyard Kipling's short story about Daniel Dravot (Sean Connery) and Peachy Carnehan (Michael Caine), two bored British soldiers stationed in India who travel to a mountainous Middle Eastern kingdom in search of riches and power. Embarking on the adventure of a lifetime, they con their way into becoming deities in Kafiristan before losing it all. The film earned four Oscar nominations.
