When Bryce Phillips (Scott Klatt) loses his high-paying tech-sector job just as his wife (Danielle Thompson) announces she's six weeks pregnant, he's desperate for work of any kind. So, when he's offered a position selling cemetery plots at Pine Crest Memorial Park, Bryce accepts without reservation -- and without a clue as to what he's getting into. Jodi Altendorf plays Bryce's new boss, Mary "Pepper" Tripp.
