Richard Griffiths and Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley star in this BBC production of Shakespeare's comedy about Sir John Falstaff, one of Queen Elizabeth I's favorite Shakespearean characters. Hoping to strike it rich, Falstaff tries to seduce two wealthy wives of Windsor, but the ladies are wise to his scheme. Practical jokes abound and proper Elizabethan code goes out the door as a desperate Falstaff resorts to dressing in drag.
