Virtuoso tenor Plácido Domingo sings and Giuseppe Sinopoli conducts the orchestra in this stylish 1985 production of Giacomo Puccini's dramatic opus recorded at New York City's famed Metropolitan Opera. The story follows spoiled Floria Tosca (soprano Hildegard Behrens), the girlfriend of painter and free thinker Mario Cavaradossi (Domingo), and the couple's friendship with a fugitive political agitator (baritone James Courtney).
