Preteen Billy Bright (Trever O'Brien) struggles with the news that his beloved grandmother's heart is ailing -- until he meets a stranger who just may be able to help heal her. He's the reclusive owner of the neighborhood's haunted mansion, and he grants Billy the power to turn into gold anything he touches, which means the family may be able to afford his grandma's medical bills. But the boy soon realizes the gift is, sadly, also a burden.
