In this indie film by Todd Hughes, a strange rainstorm has thrown half the men on Earth into comas. Recovering alcoholic Lisa LaStrada (Mary Woronov) persuades her friends to find Elysium, a world where girls rule … literally. She has nothing to lose; her husband cheats, and her sister doesn't like her. But the road to paradise is peopled by ex-hippies and biker chicks unwilling to let Lisa and her pals reach Elysium easily.
