There are some places where doors should remain locked and shutters should remain bolted. One such place is The Nightmare Room, the key to which is held in the fertile mind of writer R.L. Stine, whose anthology series of ghost stories for young adults skillfully blends horrific terror with teen themes. In "Be Scareful What You Wish For," a boy is terrorized by evil beings at a carnival.
