This Disney musical set in the 1880s follows the Bower family -- led by cantankerous patriarch Renssaeler Bower (Walter Brennan) -- who becomes a band to perform on behalf of their favorite presidential candidate, Grover Cleveland. But as the group prepares to put on a show at the 1888 Democrat convention, eldest daughter Alice Bower (Lesley Ann Warren) falls for a young Republican (John Davidson). Watch for Goldie Hawn in a bit part.
