Director Linton Semage offers the spare tale of a passionate but self-destructive love affair. A lonely widower and water-gate keeper falls for the young, beautiful wife of a soldier who is off to war, but the village condemns their relationship. Tensions mount as the villagers find themselves trying to cope with a water shortage, leading to a heartrending resolution. This film also stars Shyamalee Warusavithana.
