When a diva hits her last high note, police suspect mild-mannered wigmaker Everett Digberry (Byron Foulger) is the killer. But the plot only thickens when strands of hair found in the singer's hands lead investigators to the shop of a rival wigmaker who turns up dead before he can even be questioned. With Everett's prints on the murder weapon, it seems like a clear-cut case for police commissioner Thatcher Colt (Sidney Blackmer) -- or is it?
