Combustible musician Milan (Tim Roth) -- a shameless Casanova whose proclivity for seduction has resulted in 29 duels -- must confront his past when Franz (Peter Firth), the husband of a former conquest, suddenly turns up at Milan's door. Franz slowly and methodically instigates a cat-and-mouse game that ultimately brings Milan to the brink in this tense, psychological seesaw of reprisal. Loosely based on a story by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
