An aging porn film director faces a career crisis in this explicit drama. In the 1970s, Jacques (Jean-Pierre Leaud) creates successful, artistic adult films with thoughtful plotlines. He leaves the industry to pursue other goals, fails, and returns to directing porn. But Jacques' intelligent brand of erotic celluloid has gone out of style. Just as all seems lost, Jacques' estranged son (Jeremie Renier) returns to reconnect with his dad.
