Despite being a prodigy at the game, 12-year-old tennis phenom Ryoma Ehcizen can't seem to impress his father, a former tennis pro, in this popular sports anime series. He can, however, beat the pants off all the players at his new middle school. With his teammates' help, Ryoma soon learns to play his own kind of tennis -- one that has nothing to do with his father. Split screens, multiple images and negative color enliven the tennis scenes.
