Wise-cracking comedian Bob Hope stars as an egotistical vaudevillian who is shanghaied by pirates, gets involved with a lovely princess (Virginia Mayo) and becomes the make-shift leader of a band of cutthroats in this hilarious send-up of swashbuckling. Hope is at his zaniest as the wackiest buccaneer of all. Walter Brennan co-stars as yet another crazy pirate in producer Samuel Goldwyn's lavish Technicolor production.
